Why subscribe?

I’m in Cambridge for a year, to study childhood trauma. For other things, too, but mostly to understand better how violence early shapes life. I’ll drop interesting passages, books, lectures, and observations on how they connect to Chicago in here. Every day, every class, I’m tying something I’m learning back to something I saw.

Outside of that, I hope to find some feeling of rejuvenation and cleansing this year. Through distance, which feels heavier than it should. And just being away from the city.
